Walter Charles Mundt's Obituary
WALTER CHARLES MUNDT, 77 of Sterling, Virginia died on Tuesday, March 21,2023, at his home in Sterling, Virginia.
Born April 27, 1946 in Great Falls, Montana. He was the son of Walter Ehlers Mundt and Verna Evangeline Hanson Mundt. He was predeceased by his parents and sister, Carol Ray Mundt.
Walter leaves many to cherish his memory including his beloved wife of 53 years, Angelita Medina Mundt; daughters, Susana Colvin (Jason), Marielena Mundt, and Diana Campbell (Joseph); brothers, Donald Mundt and Gordon Mundt, and sister Lila Cebulla.
He will also be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Kevin Colvin (Amanda), Jacob Colvin (Natalie), Joshua Colvin, Oakleigh Folkes (Rafael), Sarah Florek, Ella Florek, Alexander Sepple, Samantha Campbell, and Christopher Campbell; and five great grandchildren, Andrew, Bristen, Addison, Paige, and Kaylee. Walter will be loved and missed by countless nieces and nephews that he held dear in his heart.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, from 9:00AM-10:00AM, followed by a service at 10:00 AM. Arrangements will be held at Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, Virginia. Walter will be interred on a later date at Arlington National Cemetery where he will receive military honors.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation can be made in Walter’s honor to the American Cancer Society.
