William "Buddy" Stuart Moreland's Obituary
William Stuart Moreland, (Buddy), 81 of Leesburg, Virginia went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 18, 2013.
Buddy was born on Sunday, May 1, 1932 in Round Hill, VA. He was a son of the late Lynn Stuart Moreland and the late Dorcas Ballenger Moreland.
A Loudoun native, he attended Loudoun County Public Schools and worked for 28 years for Dulles International Airport as a heavy equipment operator until retiring in 1997. Buddy also enjoyed managing Glynn-Tarra Farm, presently Glynn-Tarra Estates of Leesburg.
A true friend to all who knew him, Buddy was very active in his community helping anyone who was in need. He was a charter member of the Lucketts Ruritan Club, a past member of the Lucketts Volunteer Fire Department, and a great supporter of the Loudoun 4-H, and a faithful member of Furnace Mountain Presbyterian Church.
He leaves his family to cherish his memory including his beloved wife of 60 years, Audrey Lorraine Loy Moreland of Leesburg, his daughter and son-in-law, Tarra & Ray Sullivan of Leesburg, VA, sisters, Catherine Lowery and Evelyn Rollison both of Leesburg, 2 beloved grandsons, William (Jenna) Sullivan of Leesburg, James (Ashly DiRenzo) Sullivan of Leesburg; and one great grandson Knox Anthony Sullivan; several nieces and nephews and many, many friends.
In addition to his parents, Buddy was predeceased by son his Glynn Moreland, and his brother, Kenneth Moreland.
A Memorial service will begin at 7:00 PM on Monday, December 23, 2013 at Loudoun Funeral Chapel located at 158 Catoctin Circle, SE Leesburg, Virginia 20175 with the Pastor Molly Dourth officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the memorial beginning at 6 pm.
A celebration of life service and Interment will be held in May at Furnace Mountain Presbyterian Church and Cemetery, Leesburg, VA.
