William Wesley Jenkins' Obituary
William was born in Harlem on 114th Street, New York City, to Reverend Wesley Jenkins and Frances Jenkins. He grew up in NY and was educated in NYC public schools. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army January 1959. He was stationed across the United States and Germany. He then re-enlisted in 1965 US Army Reserves. He completed both tours with Honorable Discharges. Upon his return, he attended the State University of New York and attained a certification in Business Administration.
Professionally, William worked for companies such as F.W. Woolworth (NYC), Con Edison (NYC). The family then moved to Leesburg, Virginia in 1985 where Bill worked for PMR Printing and EIR News Service before retiring. He enjoyed reading, telling jokes and spending time with his children, grand and great-grandchildren.
William spent 50 years of his life with his loving wife Katherine L. Jenkins. William is survived by his loving wife Katherine Jenkins, children, Joyce Thompson, Timothy Thompson (Tracie), Kevin Jenkins, Karen Jenkins (Tracy), Kyle Jenkins, Michelle Anderson (Jason);16 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren, His Main Man, Shrimp, Player, Player and the Young Master. In addition, he leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
