I'm so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family. Life was a challenge after Vietnam, as it was for many but, from what I saw, he kept his caring and generous nature for many, especially his family. His grandkids were his world. He will be missed.
I'll miss Bill. He was a loyal friend of almost 38 years. While he could be stubborn, even difficult at times we always knew that our friendship would survive. If we had a disagreement, it was always soon forgotten. He was generous and always available to help a friend in need. He took in friends who were down on their luck without hesitation. He was very proud of his service to his country. Even though it may have been the root of many of his problems. My thoughts are with Jason, Jennifer, Jessica and Lauren. He also loved his brothers and sister. His grand kids meant everything to him. His absence will create a void in their lives that will take years to fill if ever. Rest in peace Bill.

I was very sad to hear that Billy had passed away. He was always good to me and we spoke now and then. I believe the last time I spoke to him he had just come out of the hospital and the grandkids were back living with him. He had a tough life and I believe it would have been different if he didn't go to Vietnam. Sorry to be so long winded I just know he had a good heart and had so much love for the grandkids.
