William Owusu Adjei's Obituary
In Loving Memory of William Owusu Adjei "Apostle"
October 29, 1975 – November 11, 2025
William, Owusu Adjei affectionately known as Apostle, was born on October 29th, 1975, in Akordie in the Brong Ahafo region of Ghana, to the late Mr. Kwadwo Yeboah and Madam Yaa Antwiwaa of Atwima Yabi. He spent his early years in a loving home where he learned respect, compassion, humility, and hard work—values that became the foundation of his character and guided him throughout his remarkable life.
Apostle began his early education in Anyinasu before continuing his studies in Ashtown, Kumasi, under the devoted care of his uncle. Kumasi soon became home to him, a place where his gentle spirit and kind heart began to blossom. He completed his secondary and sixth form education at Kumasi Senior High Technical School (KSTS), where his dedication, gentle personality, and willingness to help others earned him deep admiration from both teachers and peers alike.
Though he initially aspired to become a medical doctor, Apostle yielded his life fully to the direction and calling of God. This sacred path led him to the Tarkwa School of Mines, where he pursued a degree in engineering. At university, he distinguished himself not only through academic excellence but also through his strong involvement in Christian activities, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of encountering him.
After completing his education, Apostle began his professional career at the Ghana Geological Survey Authority (GGSA) in Adum, Kumasi, working as a land surveyor. His strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, reliability, and calm demeanor earned him great respect among colleagues and clients. These exceptional qualities later opened doors for him abroad, leading him to the United States, where he transitioned into work as an IT professional. He also served as a care aide, providing excellent, compassionate care to the elderly in their homes—a ministry of love that perfectly reflected his servant's heart. He was admired not only for his competence but for the sincerity and warmth he brought to every interaction.
Apostle was deeply rooted in his faith and wholly dedicated to the Lord. He served faithfully at New Life International, United Methodist Church as the prayer coordinator. He also played a key role as one of the founding members and administrator of the Springfield, Alexandria branch of House of Faith Ministries. His life of prayer, humility, and unwavering commitment to ministry became a powerful testimony to all who knew him. Many were drawn closer to God through his example and gentle encouragement.
In 1995, Apostle met his beloved wife, Nana Ama Bonsu, and together they were blessed with four precious children . Though his heart knew the profound sorrow of being preceded in death by one of his daughter, he carried this pain with grace and continued to pour love into the lives around him.
He is survived by his devoted mother, Madam Yaa Antwiwaa. As the first of four children, Apostle was a beloved brother and cherished uncle to five nieces and nephews who were his greatest earthly joy. His love for family knew no bounds, and the wisdom, laughter, and guidance he shared with them will echo through generations.
Apostle's life, though shorter than anyone would have hoped, was filled with purpose, kindness, and meaningful impact. He touched countless lives with his warm spirit, generous heart, and steadfast faith. Whether through a word of prayer, a helping hand, or simply his peaceful presence, he left an indelible mark on this world.
His legacy lives on in the hearts he touched, the lives he changed, and the work he dedicated himself to with such passion and devotion. Though we mourn his passing, we celebrate a life well-lived in service to God and humanity.
May his soul rest in perfect peace.
"Well done, good and faithful servant." – Matthew 25:2
