William Randall Rawson's Obituary
William Randall “Randy” Rawson, 64 of Ashburn, Virginia passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2013.
Randy was born on Thursday, March 31, 1949 in Walla Walla, Washington.
He was a son of the late William Rawson and the late Jeannette Boyle Rawson.
He was also predeceased by his sister Judy.
Randy was a graduate of University of Washington with a degree in Political Science.
Moving to Washington, DC, he worked on Capitol Hill as a Legislative Assistant to the Honorable Mike McCormack (Congressman), and then he worked for the National Stone Assoc./National Limestone Institute and the American Chiropractic Association.
He presently was the President and CEO of the American Boiler Manufactures Association where he just celebrated his 25th anniversary.
Randy leaves his family to cherish his memory including his wife Teresa Rawson, daughter, Jamie Catherine and son William Zachary Rawson, and his dog, best friend and faithful companion Winnie all of Ashburn, VA.
Randy also leaves behind 10 nieces and nephews, his 4 sisters-in-law Kim, Tammy, Debbie, and Toni and his staff at ABMA.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 from 6 to 9 pm at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, VA.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday at St. Theresa Catholic Church located at 21371 St. Theresa Lane Ashburn, Virginia 20147 with the Rev. Richard Guest officiating.
Graveside services and interment will be held in Saint Columkille Cemetery, in Seneca Falls, at the convenience of the family.
Randy’s favorite saying was “the more people I meet, the more I love my dog.” In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to GRREAT PO BOX 190 Merrifield, VA 22116, for Randy’s love of Golden Retriever’s.
