Thornton family, I am so sorry for your loss. I have many fond memories of your dad/grandfather and what stands out the most was his love for your mother, with whom he is now reunited. Terribly sorry to hear of Bill's death...loads of fond memories as neighbors in Pleasant Valley, NY, for many years. Neither Bill nor Lorraine are truly gone as long as our memories of them remain. Re had just written a note to Bill commenting on use of Lorraine's recipe for holiday punch...the type we enjoyed at afterparties during our square dance days with the two of them. The laughs woke the neighborhood! We shall miss them...Love, Sam & Re Lawson.
It was Tom's great fortune to have had Bill as his handball partner for nearly twenty years. After that, our visits to Bill and Lorraine in Florida and Leesburg were times that we'll always treasure. We rejoice that Bill was a part of our lives!
