William Richard Penberthy's Obituary
WILLIAM “BILL” RICHARD PENBERTHY, 77, of Leesburg, Virginia, formerly of Flint, MI, Medford, NJ, and Daytona Beach, FL, died on Tuesday, August 03, 2010 in Martinsburg, WV. Mr. Penberthy was born March 19th 1933 in Detroit, MI to the late Matthew and Anna Sakara Penberthy. He served his country is the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
Mr. Penberthy is survived by his four children: Bill Penberthy of Leesburg, Robin Penberthy of Westville, NJ, Yvonne Roat of Linden, MI, Curtis Penberthy; a sister: Carol Shannon of Baldwinsville, NY; nine grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 10th at St. James Episcopal Church, 14 Cornwall Street in Leesburg with Father John Ohmer officiating. Graveside services with military honors will be held at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA on Friday, September 10th 2010 at 10:00am. Those that wish to attend the graveside should arrive at the administration building on the grounds of the cemetery by 9:30am.
