Wilma Marlene Yates Webley's Obituary
Wilma Marlene Yates Webley, a resident of Culpeper (and previously a resident of Ashburn, VA and Herndon, VA) died on Friday, July 29, 2022. Born in Great Bend, Kansas on November 21, 1934; she was the daughter of the late Mildred Lewis Yates McDavid. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 12:00 pm at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel at 158 Catoctin Circle, SE. A private family burial will be held at the Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Herndon, VA.
Marlene was predeceased by her husband, Dennis William Webley. Marlene is survived by her children, Denise Webley Farmer, Jeanette Marie Johnson (Scott) and Lewis Kent Webley. She is also survived by her sisters Willetta Deane Yates Chittum (Harold) and Gayle Yates Willis. Marlene also has two surviving sister-in-laws; Hope Jean Dismuke (Charles) and Shirley Ann McDonald (Francis). Also surviving are eight grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren.
Marlene was a 1955 graduate of the St Luke’s Nursing School, Richmond, VA. She was proud of and loved her nursing career. She then joined her husband in the operation of his business, Reston Plumbing and Heating. Marlene and Dennis had a love of traveling. Marlene has the distinction of being on every continent. Marlene was also an avid reading and bridge player.
