Yolidia "Yoli" A. Pasos' Obituary
In Loving Memory of Yolidia A. Pasos
December 21, 1948 – June 9, 2025
Yolidia A. Pasos, lovingly known as Yoli, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025, in Leesburg, VA. Born in Rama, Nicaragua, on December 21, 1948, to Irene Jilma Pasos and Mariano Gomez, Yoli was the second youngest of four siblings: Dalila Bonilla, Maria Isabel Ross, and Melvin Chow.
At the age of 20, Yoli courageously left her home country and came to the United States on her own in search of opportunity. She began her professional journey with the Organization of American States and later worked for the Embassy of Nicaragua. Her dedication and strong work ethic led to a long and accomplished career as a Quality Control Paralegal at WHDA, where she made lasting contributions and retired with distinction.
Yoli was known for her infectious smile, her warmth, and her unforgettable sense of humor. She had a heart as big as her laughter—always willing to lend a helping hand, offer support, or simply be there when someone needed her most. Her generosity touched countless lives, and her home was always a place of comfort and welcome.
A proud fan of all the local DMV sports teams, Yoli’s greatest joy came from being with her family—especially her beloved grandchildren. Isabel, Gianella, and Luis were the pride of her life, and her love for them knew no bounds.
She is survived by her devoted sons, Carlos Sequeira and Pablo Toro, and her cherished grandchildren. She now joins her late husband, Guigo Toro, in eternal rest.
Yoli’s life was a testament to resilience, love, and selfless giving. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know her.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Cr. SE, Leesburg, Virginia.
A Funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM on Saturday at Loudoun Funeral Chapel.
