OBITUARY INFORMATION
YVONNE FRASER, 87, of Leesburg, VA died on Monday, October 1st 2012 at home. Mrs. Fraser was born September 21st 1925 in Epinal, France to the late Nicholas and Nellie Marchand Thiebaut. Her entire family was lost as a result of WWII. She came to America by way of Fresno, CA as a war bride in 1947, but moved to Rosemere, Quebec, Canada a year later. After raising her children in Canada, Mrs. Fraser and her husband, an executive with Kraft Foods, lived for a number of years in England and Belgium. During this time, she served as the President of the Canadian Club in Belgium. After her husband retired in 1974, they moved back to the Montreal area in Canada and spent winters in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Her husband M. David Fraser of 40 years predeceased her in 1986 and she eventually moved to live year round in Florida. She had only recently moved to be with her son in Leesburg. Mrs. Fraser enjoyed playing bridge and will be remembered for her French gourmet cooking and witty sense of humor.
Mrs. Fraser is survived by her two sons: Ronald N. Fraser (Marylou) of Vancouver, B.C. Canada, James E. Fraser (Diana) of Leesburg; four grandchildren: Stephen Fraser (Callie), Leanne Fraser, Kelsey Burch (Robert), Eric Fraser.
Friends may call on Friday, October 12th 2012 at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Cr. SE in Leesburg from 10am until time of services at 11am. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Hamilton, VA.
