Strong. Committed. Gracious. Faithful. This is how I remember Mrs. Verfurth. As a 10-year-old to late teens boy in need of a lot of direction, Mrs. Verfurth was always there to give it. So much love in her heart! We tested her a lot, but she never wavered. Now entering my sixties, the enormous positive influence of Mr. and Mrs. Verfurth is still stamped on my soul and always will be. This came through in her children also (Ted, Rob, Jan, Jon and Meg) who we learned a lot of life's lessons with but had a blast together doing it! Mrs. Verfurth's faith and strength reverberated through all of them, and we are all better people for it.
She made great lemonade.

Anne’s personality, her positive attitude, spiritual example and especially her love had an effect on all who have had the pleasure of her company. It was 1971 to l978 that our two families lived next door in Dayton, Ohio. She embraced us with love and friendship from the start. We saw a combined nine children into and/or out of their childhood. It was a magical place for my family during the time all our children lived and grew up there. Thank you Anne for being a part of my journey. I’ll love you forever.
