ANNE MILLER VERFURTH's Obituary
ANNE MILLER VERFURTH, 86, of Sterling, Virginia, passed on Saturday, June 11, 2022.
Born July 10, 1935, in Phoenix, AZ; she was the daughter of Benjamin Miller and Barbara Willis Miller.
She was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Jan “Pete” Verfurth, who preceded her in death in 2020. They shared a beautiful, undeniable bond.
She leaves her family to cherish her memory including her five children; sons Ted (Christine), Rob (Serena), and John (Susan); and daughters Jan, and Meg (Dave). She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was the older sister to Benjamin Franklin Miller II, who preceded her in death.
Anne was a proud Air Force wife for 23 years. She loved traveling the world with her family. Later she enjoyed being an event planner, as well as continuing to travel with Pete.
Anne was truly one of kind. She was kind, thoughtful and selfless. Her greatest quality was her positive outlook—the glass was always half full and there was always a silver lining. Anne cherished her Theta sorority sisters and longtime friends. She had a strong faith in God that she shared with Pete. She knew she was truly blessed, as was all who were fortunate enough to be a part of her life.
Memorial services will be held at the Falcons Landing Memorial Chapel on September 8th at 2pm.
Internment services will be held at Arlington National Cemetery on September 8th at 10am where Anne will be interred with her husband.
