April Clare Davis' Obituary
April Clare Davis passed peacefully on October 27, 2025. April, affectionately known as
'Hoolie', was born April 25, 1975. She was the only daughter born to her parents Marilyn
Gee Davis and Walter G. Davis (both previously deceased). She is survived by her brother,
Brian (Alix), nephews, Brian, Jr., Anthony, and Carter; half-brothers, Timothy (Diane),
Christian (Patrice), half-sister, Cynthia S., and many cousins, nieces, and nephews; April's
stepmother, Cynthia A. Davis, and the Gee family including April's best friend and cousin,
Jennifer, cousin Dave, Uncle Michael, Aunt Frances, and Uncle David (Jean).
April spent her childhood and teen years growing up in Oakton, Virginia. She received her
Bachelor of Art degree from Marlborough College, a private liberal arts school in
Vermont. Later April attended Louisiana State University Baton Rouge and received her
Master's Degree in Library Information Systems.
Growing up, April's friends remember her love of music, art, and especially her love of
nature. She tried her hand at playing guitar, painting, designing jewelry, and she had a
special talent for writing poetry and short stories. April had a spirit that radiated even in the
midst of trying times. She never failed to ask others how they were doing and what was
happening in their lives. April had a way of always making you feel like you were the most
important person in the room!
April's gentleness, loving spirit, and friendship will be forever missed by her many friends and family.
