Avis M. Clemens' Obituary
Avis Clemens, 88, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2009 with family by her side at Potomac Hospital in Woodbridge, VA.
Avis was born in Leesburg, VA on Jan. 28, 1921. She was a daughter of the late Christian Hoffman Clemens and the late Leona Austin Shroy Clemens. Avis graduated from Leesburg High School. She then attended James Madison College.
In 1985, Avis retired from the Army Times Publishing Company.
She was predeceased by her husband Marvin L. Donohoe in 2003.
She is survived by two children, Christie Lee Guthrie of Franklin, MA; and Don C. Donohoe of Woodbridge, VA; six grandchildren, two step grandchildren, five great grandchildren.
Friends may call Friday, June 12, 2009 from 6 to 8 pm at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, VA 20175. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at the funeral home at 10 am.
Graveside services and entombment will follow Saturday at 1:00 pm in Sunset Memorial Gardens, 3702 Jefferson Davis Highway, Fredericksburg, VA 22408.
