Barbara M. Daugherty, 86, passed away March 20, 2009 in Leesburg, VA. Born in London, England, October 10, 1922 the eldest of six children, she is survived by her daughter, Ann Beckham and her son-in-law Gregory of South Riding, V Read Obituary
Like Barbara, I was a Londoner and a World War II "GI BRIDE" who sailed to America in 1946,landing in New York.

Dear Ann,
We are so sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. Barbara was very dear to us, she kept us on tract with our Lord Jesus Christ. Almost every day when we take our granddaughter to Holy Rosary School, we see your mothers house, and think of her. It is ironic that just last week we were having a discussion about your mother, and wondered how she was getting along. Now we know she has gone to be with the Lord.
We know she will have things straightened out up there, when we get there.
Take care of yourself, and maybe we can get together at a class reunion.
