BETSEY JEAN HARRINGTON
BARTLEY, 59 of Leesburg, Virginia, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, September 14, 2022.
Born Saturday, February 2, 1963, in Fort Polk, Louisiana. Betsey was one of five children. A daughter of the late James William Harrington Sr. and Jean Claudia Klabel Harrington.
When Betsey was young, she had the opportunity to live in many places because her father was proudly serving our country. She settled down in Leesburg, Virginia with the love of her life of 32 years, Charles Gordon Bartley.
Betsey loved her career at Paraton, formerly, Northrop Grumman, as a Senior Analyst.
She was a well-rounded, smart woman who had many hobbies, including cooking, gardening, scrapbooking, and camping. Betsey also enjoyed vacationing with her husband and family throughout the year.
Betsey had many dogs throughout her lifetime and they held a special place in her heart; especially her Bernese Mountain Dogs, Buddy & Daisy. Her family, friends, and dogs meant the world to her.
Her family will miss her dearly and will cherish and honor her memory, including her beloved husband, Charles Gordon Bartley; her daughter, Cheryl Lynn Bartley, her son-in-law, Timothy H. Vernon; her son, Brian William Bartley, and one granddaughter, Natalie Grace Vernon.
She is also survived by her mother, Jean Claudia Klabel Harrington; her sisters, and brother, James W. Harrington, Christine Harrington Oster, Linnett H. Benson, and Michelle M. Tucker. Her sister-in-law, Rita Sutton; as well as many other nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends who love her.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, October 3rd, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, VA 20175.
