I had the privilege of working with Brenda at ILH, and I was heartbroken to hear about her passing. This news is truly heartbreaking. I will carry her Navy stories with me always. My shifts were brighter when Brenda was on duty. Her positive attitude toward coworkers and deep compassion for our patients inspired all of us.
I loved working with Brenda and her easy smile and humor got me through some long shifts. I will forever remember her
Brenda was a very good friend of mine. We shared a lot of fun and good times together. She was a caring and devoted Nurse who loved all living creatures both large and small. Her devotion to her family was endless. I will miss her infectious laughter and kindness. She will always be in my heart forever until we meet again.
Oh how I remember the days working with Brenda at Loudoun Hospital. She always made me laugh. She was a wonderful nurse and colleague. I’ll cherish those days so long ago in my heart forever.

Brenda and I, along with my now wife, served together on the USS McKee (AS-41). We lived together as roommates in San Deigo. Brenda and I also shared the same birthday, her and my wife are the same age; 5 years older than me. We both have such found memories of Brenda. Her laugh was one we'll never forget. We kept in touch via Facebook and she was a true lover of animals! Our sympathy goes out to her family during these difficult days.
