Brenda Meredith Van Scoten's Obituary
BRENDA MEREDITH VAN SCOTEN, 70, of Berryville, Virginia passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025, in Berryville, Virginia. Born Tuesday, November 16, 1954, in she was the daughter of the late Robert Jefferson Meredith and the late Helen Carter Meredith. She was the wife of the late William Van Scoten.
Brenda was a U.S. Navy veteran. After serving her country, she continued to serve others as a registered nurse at both Inova Loudoun Hospital and Reston Hospital Center. Brenda leaves many to cherish her memory including her sisters, Sandra Hackney of Paeonian Springs, VA, Roberta McAlister of Berryville, VA and Devona Wiedenmeyer of Leesburg, VA and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brother, William Meredith, and sister, Wanda Carlson.
A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Cornerstone Chapel 650 Battlefield Parkway NE Leesburg, VA 20175.
Brenda will be laid to rest at Culpeper National Cemetery, Culpeper, VA.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to your local animal shelter or the Blue Ridge Wildlife Center in Boyce, VA, as Brenda had great love and compassion for all living creatures.
