It is so hard to comprehend that Candy is not a phone call away anymore. Whenever we would chat, we would end up laughing and remembering the fun times we had working together. She was a wonderful friend who could always be counted on when life got difficult. We shared many joys and problems of child rearing and I will always remember her advice to me- “ honey, hang on to your panties- the teenage years are the worst!” I miss her so much.

I simply can’t believe I am writing a farewell to my beautiful friend Candy. Everyone should have the privilege of having a neighbor like Candy. It didn’t take her but five minutes to welcome us to the “court”. She was so warm, friendly funny and generous from the beginning and that continued through the years of our friendship.
