Carol Irene Spargo Hough's Obituary
“WINTERPAST”

Carol passed peacefully on May 12, 2026 after several years of a combination of COPD and Congestive Heart Failure, finally taking its toll.
Born in Washington, DC, Carol became a student of Anne Beers Elementary, Kramer Jr. High and Anacostia High School, Class of 1966.
As a working wife and mother, over the years, Carol was an employee of: The Federal Government, Interior Department, General Services in DC; 3M, Industrial Tape Division, St. Paul Minnesota; retired in 2016 after 31 years with the Area Agency on Aging/PRCS, County of Loudoun, VA.
Carol is predeceased by her parent's, Harold Wesley and Lillian Irene (Williams) Spargo; her husband of 45 years, Ralph Lynwood Hough of Leesburg, VA. By blending families, Ralph and Carol brought together a total of 4 children: Clayton (Christie), Tobin (Anne); Deborah (Deceased); Ralph (Rebecca);15 Grandchildren; 25 Great-grandchildren, (one being Heather and son Jameson, resident caregivers); 3 Great-great-grands; former daughters-in-law, Sandi (Deceased) and Shannon (Wendall).
Carol also leaves behind, family in Minnesota, her Brother, Ronald Spargo (Kathy), a Niece and Nephew, 3 Great-Nieces and 1 Great-Nephew. Also in Minnesota are two biological siblings, identified, but with no established relationship.
Per Carol's request, to Loudoun Funeral Chapel in Leesburg, VA, there will be no viewing, burial or memorial service. Cremains (as are Ralph's) shall be returned to family.
