Hello Ron, Matt, Ronna and Family,
One thing I can say about the life of Cecelia is that she was a very fair woman and the other she was never a sad woman. It would be fair to say she will be sorely missed. In Jesus day there were groups of religious leaders one the Saducees and the other the Pharisees. Saducees were a sad lot as they did not believe in the resurrection of the dead as the fair minded Pharisees believed. Let us remember the our Lord and saviour has promised us all that shall be done away with in the promise for those who invite Jesus Christ to enter in their heart. What a great way to show Cecelia how much you love her by becoming a believer in Christ Jesus today.

Our condolescences to Ron and well as his son and family; she will be greatly missed. We have many fond memories of both Ron and Cecelia. Cecilia was our youngest daughter's teacher. I worked with both Ron and Cecelia, and we were lucky enough to be in a Renew group through Church with them leading our group. You will be included in our prayers.

During the 1979 school year there were too many 4th graders in Hermiston, Oregon and I was one of them. That year while the school district scrambled to build a new elementary school, four classes of 4th graders from several elementary schools spent the year together in Thomspon Hall at the Umatilla County Fairgrounds.
Mrs. Schenk was my teacher there and she made sure that the whole year was special for all of us. Even though our classroom was a corner of a large metal barn-like building with a concrete floor and partitions for walls, we all felt like we were on a great adventure with Mrs. Schenk. She helped us create our own school newspaper. She made sure that we had music and art classes in addition to english, math, social studies, science, at PE. She lead us on field trips and she, with the other three teachers at Thompson Hall, planned wonderful events and celebrations for all of us. I remember making lots of new friends that year. Mrs. Schenk was an amazing teacher and role model. She taught me important life lessons that year and helped me to not only learn academic subjects, but also inspired me to be a better person. She was thoughtful, kind, gracious and resilient.
Thank you Mrs. Schenk! Your memory will live on in the hundreds of elementary school students whose lives you touched over the years.
