Chuck was very much a sports enthusiast. He especially loved baseball. He played baseball growing up in Cleveland with the left handed pitcher position and won numerous first place awards in his league and division. He was the recipient of a partial scholarship to Ohio State for his excellence in pitching, but chose a different career path at that time to pursue. He loved children and loved coaching them in all phases of sports. He was always volunteering his sports knowledge and coaching the youths up until he began to have health issues.
Chuck’s family has so many wonderful memories of his keen sense of humor. He could spin a story that was sad until he had you rolling with laughter and begging him to stop. He will be sorely missed by all.
The family received friends at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 2, 2015 at Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, VA 20175.
