It was a pleasure working with Charlie at ZDC ARTCC. I met him in 2015 while working at the ZDC SOC from 2015-2018 and always had pleasant and lively conversations with him. I returned to ZDC ARTCC in 2024 and enjoyed picking up where we left off. Charlie was a great man and he will be truly missed!

Charles was one of my close friends ! He was like an uncle to me! Always willing to talk and chat for hours! He was active in my old church growing up we got to be good friends ! So sad of his untimely passing ! He will be missed deeply !
I worked with Charles Souza for several years when the engineering department was in the basement of the Leesburg Center. We worked together on several projects for the Leesburg Center. He was a great guy to work with he got things done. I was shocked to hear of his passing. I am deeply sorry for your loss. You and your loved ones are in my thoughts and prayers. I only knew Charlie for a little over 3 years in my tenure at the FAA, but I always had wonderful interactions with him. It was always fun to spend an hour talking with him or Anton both, about all the projects and how to juggle them. Charlie's personality lit up a room. He was easy to talk to, passionate about what he did, and had an infectious laugh which brought joy in his office. One or twice, I had a meeting with him and Charlie Peppers in a "meeting of the Charlies." I and several coworkers were shocked to hear of his passing earlier this week. I regret not being able to say goodbye one last time, but I look forward to saying hello again someday! God Bless you and your family, Charlie!
Gone too soon. Charles was not just a colleague, but a true friend. It breaks my heart to think of his young daughter and his wife. He was so proud of his family. Sending my deepest condolences and prayers to them. May he rest in eternal peace.
My deepest sympathy for all of Charlie's family. My name is Greg Moon I was a civil engineer in the Atlanta office and worked a good bit with him especially from 2016 until I retired in 2023, He was a solid guy that worked for getting the best out of the jobs he worked on. His work was more than just ZDC we worked Parking lots for Miami,Jacksonville and Boston centers. He's hard to forget. I hope my good memories of Charlie will be of some comfort.
To all of Charlie’s family, I am so sorry for your loss. My name is Cindi and I worked with Charlie for a short period of time before he retired, but in that short time, he was great to work with and had a wonderful, fun sense of humor. I live in WA state and will not be attending the funeral but know that I will be thinking and praying for Charlie’s family and loved ones.

He was honest, loyal, and cared deeply about his job and the people he worked with. I always looked forward to visiting ZDC and spending time with him and Anton.
