Christopher R. Graham's Obituary
Christopher Graham, age 77 of Leesburg, Virginia passed away January 21, 2022. The son of Jean and Robert Graham and survived by his wife Gloria, daughter Maggie (Jared) Perez and granddaughters Mercedes, and Natalia, and sister Kathleen Van Boven of San Francisco; nieces Shannon (Dennis) Gutierrez and Morgan (Brett) Dewey.
Chris was a broadcast journalist with a booming voice and Irish wit. His great interest was cars and his joy was in driving his Jaguars. He worked for United Press International in New York, Cleveland, Columbus, OH and Chicago and Bloomberg Business News in Skokie and Chicago.
Retirement years were spent traveling between the cabin in the woods at Tryon Farm, Michigan City, IN and Plant City, FL. He also pursued his love of architecture, particularly Frank L Wright. He was a tour guide at the Frank L Wright Home and Studio, Oak Park, IL and at Florida Southern College, Lakeland, FL.
A member of St Joe's Preparatory School (class of 1962) Bardstown, KY. Chris’s faith was continually nourished by churches attended; First St Paul's Chicago, St Paul Evangelical Lutheran church, Skokie, IL, Hope Lutheran church, Plant City, FL and Our Savior's Way Lutheran church in Ashburn, VA. Family was present at his passing and gives thanks to God for Chris' life with us.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 2 pm at Our Saviors Way Lutheran church, in Ashburn, VA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be in Mr. Graham’s name to OSWLC, Save Wright.org, or a charity of the sender’s choice.
