Daniel Alan Campbell's Obituary
Daniel Alan Campbell, age 27 of Harpers Ferry, WV, formerly of Leesburg, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2011, at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Danny was born on Wednesday, February 22, 1984 in Leesburg. He was the son of Keith Alan Campbell and Dee Dee McDavid Campbell Edmonds. He was raised in Leesburg and attended Loudoun County High School. As a youth Danny enjoyed playing Little League Baseball and Roller Hockey. He loved his family, the outdoors, music and his dogs.
Those left to cherish his memories are the love of his life, his daughter, Evelyn Campbell; brother, Jamie "Highme" Campbell, of Harpers Ferry, WV, his Mom, Dee Edmonds and stepdad Scott Edmonds of Charles Town, WV; his grandfathers, Rufus Campbell of Leesburg, VA, and Louis McDavid of NC; aunts, Dianna McDavid of Winchester, Darla Painter of Rippon, WV, Tina Laughlin of Winchester; uncles Buddy Tribby of Inwood, WV, Steve Campbell of Leesburg, VA, Darryl “Pete” McDavid of Ranson, Chad Laughlin of Winchester, plus many cousins including Jessica Harrison and Sherri McDavid. He also leaves behind other family and a large number of friends.
Danny was predeceased by his father, his grandmothers Elizabeth “Anne” McDavid & Betty Jane Campbell and his uncle Dan Boswell.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 6, 2011, and on Friday, October 7, 2011 from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 p.m. at Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, Virginia.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Leesburg Union Cemetery, Leesburg, VA.
Pallbearers will be Chris Thyson, John Shry, Mike Coe, Hunter Moorehead,Gary Winstanley, Keith Frye
Honorary Pallbearers are Andrew Murphy & Ryan Murphy.
