Ken and Joyce
John and Bonnie both called today and gave us the terrible news about Derek.
God bless you and the whole family during this sad time. But God has a plan for Derek, although I wish He would at least pass it on to you, so you wouldn’t suffer. From ‘85-‘89, Derek was a part of our house near Oakton HS almost everyday. Since they were military brats, our son John and Derek became good friends immediately. He treated us like parents and Judy and I came to love him like a son. There was nothing we would not have done for him. Of course, our paths have since diverged, but our fondness for. Derek has never wavered. Of all John’s friends, Derek was the most cheerful and easiest to understand. He was a truly good man! The O’Neill’s will keep Derek and yourselves in our prayers always.
