Dileep was one of my dearest friends — someone I had the privilege of knowing from the very beginning of life's journey, fresh out of college during our Cognizant days. We shared our first home together at Ratna Apartments in Velachery, and those early years in Chennai were some of the most memorable of my life.
He was an incredibly calm and emotionally grounded person — the kind of friend who made you feel steady just by being around him. During those early years away from home, his support meant more to me than words can express.
We had so much fun during our Chennai bachelor days, and I'll always remember him as my favourite pillion rider on those long bike rides through the city — always there, always smiling.
It is exactly 20 years this month since we both moved abroad and went our separate ways. To hear that he is no longer with us is deeply painful.
Rest in peace, my dear friend. You will never be forgotten. 🕊️

Dileep was my first supervisor, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have worked under his guidance during my early days at Cognizant Kochi.
What I remember most about him was his positivity. No matter how busy or challenging the day was, he always carried a smile and a calm, reassuring presence. He was not only a supportive leader but also a genuinely kind human being who went above and beyond to help others. During some of my difficult times, he stood by me with encouragement and support, and for that I will always be grateful.
Some of my fondest memories are the simple moments we shared outside of work. We would often take tea breaks together, walking around the CSEZ park in Kakkanad in search of a good cup of Sulemani chai, which we both enjoyed. Those conversations, walks, and laughs remain some of my most cherished memories.

Reconnecting with him in Europe several years after those IT training years was such a highlight. He was the ultimate host, showing us around the city, the restaurants, the boar tour and gardens... I was so impressed by how he’d just jumped into a new language and culture without missing a step. What would always stand out in his memory would be that huge smile and those quirky jokes. Miss you, man.
