Dileep Paul Benjamin's Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dileep Paul Benjamin, of the Penthalayil family, Puthencruz, Kerala. He was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished brother and beloved son. Dileep will be remembered for his kindness, dedication to his family, and the positive impact he made on those around him.
Dileep was born to Chevalier, Adv., P. Benjamin Paul and Josy Varghese. Adv. Benjamin is a distinguished member of the Church community and currently serves as the Executive Board Member of the Jacobite Syrian Christian Education Trust.
Dileep treasured his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Mariya Babu, daughter of Adv. P.V.
Babu and Aney. She is a dedicated nurse and educator, from the Mulayamkuzhiyil Palapurathu family, Kayanad, Muvattupuzha. Together they are blessed with their beloved children, Saira and David, who were the pride and joy of his life.
He is also survived by his sister Deepa, who lives in Australia with her husband Jeevan and their two children. Dileep was a valued son-in-law to Aney and Joy, and a caring brother-in-law to Merlin and Nickson.
Dileep was a highly educated and accomplished individual, completing B. Tech (IT) from University College of Engineering, Trivandrum, followed by an MBA, from Symbiosis, Pune. He built a successful career as a software engineer, working in the technology field for many years and earning the respect of colleagues for his skill, professionalism, and commitment.
Beyond his professional life, Dileep was deeply committed to his church community. His home parish in Kerala is Mount Zakhai St. George’s Jacobite Church, Veloor. For the past ten years, he was an integral and active member of St. George’s Syriac Orthodox Church in Chantilly, Virginia, where he faithfully served in several important roles including Trustee, Sunday School Headmaster, and managing committee member.
Dileep also had a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life. He had a special passion for cooking delicious Kerala dishes, photography and technology, always eager to learn about new gadgets and capture meaningful moments. Watching movies and catching up on the latest cricket matches brought him great happiness.
Dileep will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
His memory will live on through the love he shared, the lives he touched, and the family he cherished.
May his soul rest in peace.
