MR. DONALD APTE, 77, devoted husband and father, respected businessman, and accomplished numismatist, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at his home in Leesburg, Virginia. Mr. Apte was born in Brookly Read Obituary
It was always a pleasure speaking with Don at the many coin shows I found him at. I recall many times helping to pack up at PAN, or helping him get the snow off his van at a Clarks Summit, PA show. I first met Don in 1992 at a Cleveland area show, and shared a table across from him at the Expo Mart. I always looked forward to perhaps seeing Don and speaking with him.

We are very sorry for your loss. You have lost a wonderful husband and father. We have lost a dear friend. Jim and I have many fond memories of Donald at the coin shows. Donald was a very caring person. Even though Jim carried on with him something hateful it was because he thought the world of him. Alicia if you need anything at all please give us a call.
