Donaldeen (Dona) M. Dunn, 85, died in Alexandria, VA on July 19, 2012 after living a long wonderful life. Dona was born in Ravenswood, WV and grew up in southeast Ohio. She was the daughter of Donald and Harriet (Walter) Whetstone Read Obituary
Dear Bill,Bill,Jr.,Steve,Don and Tammy,
We will always remember your lovely mother and how she shared all of you with us
when we moved to San Bernardino, California. She was so proud of all of you and
her guidance and love helped you become the wonderful human beings that you are
today. I am sure she is in a happy place now for all eternity and can rest in peace
for all of her good works.

We were so sorry to hear of the passing of Donna, we didn't know her long but enjoyed what time we went to dinner with you, she, Donna and Bob Moseley, she will be sadly missed and we send you our love and prayers.

Grandma Dunn was a very special person and welcomed people into her family. She was generous and loving. Grandma always enjoyed sharing stories of her life adventures. I will remember hearing about all of the different houses she lived in over tje years. I'll never forget the advice she gave me about marriage or about military life. I enjoyed learning about sewing from grandma and hearing about all the projects she was working on. grandma was so excited to be having another great grandson and it is hard for me to know that she will not be able to hold him in her arms this fall. But I am comforted in my belief that she is now looking over all of us from heaven and we will some day see her again. Grandma took me into her family and treated me like her granddaughter and for that I'll always be grateful. My prayers are with grandpa Dunn and the rest of the family who I am so blessed to be a part of.

Dear Bill and Family,
Martha and I were saddened to learn of Dona's death and we extend to you and the entire family our deepest sympathy and condolences.
Dona was one of the most courteous, kind and gentle ladies we have ever known and it was always a pleasure to be in her company.
She leaves a legacy representing strong family values and a committment to duty and service to our country. This was reflected in the fact that her entire family pursued honorable and commendable military careers. The strong support for military families through her volunteer activities was also a testimonial to the love she had for the men and women who so faithfully serve our country.
We are all humbled by and appreciative of the service and sacrifices you and her children gave to their country and extend a sincere and heartfelt thanks for that.
The many fond memories of our shared experiences at Marietta College during many bygone happy and care free days will forever be cherished as well as our wedding anniversaries where we share much in common.
