Doris Jones McKimmey's Obituary
Doris Jones McKimmey of Lucketts, VA died peacefully at home on Thursday, February 7, 2013, after a long battle with breast cancer. She was 61.
Born February 11, 1951, in Virginia Beach, she was the daughter of Jeanette C. Jones and the late Bruce E. Jones, Sr. She graduated from Loudoun County High School and earned her bachelor’s degree from George Mason University. She had a passion for teaching and taught for 29 years as an elementary school teacher with Loudoun County Public Schools. As a member of Faith Chapel Presbyterian Church, she served as an Elder and taught both Sunday School and Vacation Bible School.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, C.B. McKimmey, Jr., daughter Rachel Davis, and son Aaron McKimmey, all of Lucketts, mother Jeanette C. Jones of Gainesville, VA, and brother Bruce E. Jones, Jr. of Salisbury, MD.
Friends may call Friday, February 15 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Loudoun Funeral Chapel in Leesburg. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 16 at 1 p.m. at Faith Chapel Presbyterian Church in Lucketts. There will be a private interment at a later date.
