Dorothy Janice MacDorman's Obituary
Dorothy Janice MacDorman, 85, of Arlington, Virginia, passed quietly on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, surrounded by her children.
Born Sunday, February 7, 1937, in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of Norman Lee and Claire Marie Sanders. She was the wife of Littleton Corbin MacDorman for over 66 years and the sister of Franklyn Henry Fisher.
Dorothy is survived by her loving husband, sons, John Corbin MacDorman and James Littleton MacDorman, daughter, Susan Claire Sedlazek, grandchildren, Daniel Martin Sedlazek, Jack Henry MacDorman, and Sam Corbin MacDorman.
Dorothy was a loving homemaker and caring friend. She worked as a bookkeeper for MacDorman and Associates and Bono Film and was an active community volunteer, most notably delivering food for Meals on Wheels and routinely working the electoral polls. She enjoyed cooking, playing cards, golfing, spending time with friends and family, and bonding with the neighborhood dogs. She was a faithful member of the Missionhurst community in Arlington.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 22 at St. Theresa Catholic Church located at 21371 St. Theresa Lane, Ashburn, Virginia, 20147.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests expressions of sympathy be made in the form of contributions to Missionhurst CICM at missionhurst.org
