Duane G. Carlson's Obituary
Duane G. Carlson, 63, of Sterling, VA, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2014 at his residence.
Born on December 30, 1950 in McKeesport, PA he was the son of the late Edwin Lewis Carlson and the late Betty Jean Maurer.
Duane moved to Virginia in the late 80’s and was a brick mason for Dittmar. Being from Pittsburgh, Duane was a dedicated Steelers, Penguins and Pirates fan.
He is survived by his sons, Brandon Gauthier and his wife, Kim, and Kyle Carlson and his fiancée, Kallen; girlfriend, Debbie Ardinger; grandchildren, Ava and Austin; step-children, Stephanie and Deren; brother, Don Carlson; sister, Ginny Callen. Duane will be remembered by many friends for whom he has touched throughout the years.
A funeral service was held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Loudoun Funeral Chapel with Chaplain Charlie Grant officiating. The family received friends one hour prior to the service. Private inurnment will took place at a later date.
