I first met Sheryn in 8th grade. She was in my homeroom and several classes. We became fast friends and remained so even after she went to Loudoun Valley High School in our 10th grade year.
I taught in Loudoun County Public Schhols from 1974to 1982 and would meet up with Sheryn at Teachers Conferences and The Loudoun County Teachers Association and share many wonderful memories of our days in high scool.
She was a warm, loving, caring and funny lady. She was always smiling.
My Sincere Condolences To her sister, Charlene and family. May God Comfort You As Only He Can During This Difficult Time.
Sheryn will be deeply missed by all those who had the privilege of calling her "friend".

I was a student at BRHS from '74 thru '78 and had the good fortune to have Ms. Hardesty as a substitute math and geometry teacher many times. She always had a smile and a wonderful, caring personality. Later in my life, I also had the good fortune to have Sheryn as a neighbor when I moved my family to Lovettsville. Sheryn and her mother, Virginia were two of the kindest, loving people that I have ever known.
I am so thankful to have known Sheryn Hardesty and send my condolences out to her family.
Such a gentle, wonderful, caring soul. Thankful for all she gave.
True teacher in every sense of the word. The only teacher who made math simple. Very thankful to have been her student.
Ms. Hardesty was my math teacher, senior year. I was never known as the best student in math, but Ms. Hardesty offered something that connected with me. My final grade average in math was an 'A'. I really think the connection was her simplicity. She taught the concepts the first part of the period then let you do your homework and ask questions the next half. I kept up with her after high school until her retirement which I attended. You were awesome Ms. H! Thank you for remaining so committed and for such a long time.
Ms. Hardesty was my ninth grade Algebra teacher at the Broad Run High School Annex in Arcola back in 1975. I remember her as being very kind, caring and an excellent math teacher. My condolences to her family.
Ms. Hardesty was one of the sweetest teachers at Broad Run High School. She always wore a smile and was so helpful to so many. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Rest in peace dear lady.
