Elizabeth Sheryn Hardesty's Obituary
Elizabeth Sheryn Hardesy was born in Frederick, Maryland, on July 23, 1947, to Charles J. and Virginia Weeks Hardesty. She passed away on November 15, 2017, in Dallas, Texas.
Sheryn moved to Lovettsville, Virginia, in 1953 with her parents and younger sister, Charlene. She attended Loudoun County schools and graduated from James Madison University.
Sheryn taught mathematics at Broad Run High School in Ashburn for forty years. She was an excellent teacher who cared deeply about her students. She was a cherished friend and colleague. Her caring, compassionate nature and wonderful sense of humor brought joy to everyone she met.
Sheryn was devoted to her family and moved to Texas in 2016 to be closer to Charlene, brother-in-law Paul, and niece Jessica. They will miss her enormously, as will her cousins and many friends.
