Mrs. Harinec first touched my life as I heard prayer for her during our Lord's Day worship services in late 2001/2002. I had met her son George, an elder at our church...always faithful in attendance and his assistance to me on a very slippery winter Sunday morning as I was trying to walk to my car made an impression then and still, to this day I haven't forgotten that overture of kindness. When I would visit his mother after she was in Heritage Hall the fellowship of her spirit in the Lord with mine kept me going back several times through the years. At times I would leave a treat for her and her son, but mostly, until I could no longer communicate with her I would just pray for her and George. She seemed to understand and appreciate each visit, but never urged me to linger. She would express thankfulness that I came. She was different from every other elderly person I ever visited in that way. When she was still in her home I would send cards, but the cards never seemed to reach her if I sent them to Heritage Hall, so I no longer did that, but would pray for her. This past week when I realized she would soon be with the Lord, it seemed so much more important to pray for our friend George. Years ago already we knew that he would miss his mom dearly after she left, so my husband and I had planned to invite George over for dinner often. But we have now lost track of him and miss him. George, and now Virginia too, you are most welcome to come for dinner whenever you are in the Round Hill area. Just send us an email and let us know when that will be. What a joy it will be to see you again, and an even greater joy when we are all together in our Father's House. I pray that God will give you His peace, not that from the world, but the 'deep down inside kind' that you know can only come from His Spirit to yours. Our prayer is with you and for you both.
