My father, John Adie, served with Frank during the Korean War. They formed a great friendship that has lasted since that time. We just found out today (Christmas Day) about Frank's passing and my father and mother are saddened that they will no longer hear Frank's energetic voice on the phone. But they know Frank's faith and love surely have him with Sally. He will be sorely missed by our family - particularly my father. Julie Adie (for my father).
I met Frank in 1969 when we were both employees of Planning Research Corporation. Since that time, our families have been close and we shared a number of vacations to various resorts. Frank and I took the first 727 flight from D.C. to L.A. and spent many days in California conducting airline research. He was bright, intuitive, and curious. In later years I hired Frank as a consultant and valued his insights and opinions. Off site, we played countless rounds of golf together -- always a delight. What is relatively comforting, is knowing that Frank is with his dear Sally, that he lived a very fruitful 95 years, and that his devotion to the Catholic Church continued to his last day.
