Robert and I were saddened to hear of Fred’s passing. He was a wonderful man and we know you will miss your best friend. Robert had many fun hours on the tennis court with him. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Fred was a wonderful friend and a gentleman with a great sense of humor. It was truly a pleasure to have known him, and we will always cherish the memories we have of the times we spent together with him and Grace.
I will remember Fred with his enjoyable attitude on the deck at Sudley. On the tennis court saying, “Do over”, driving to matches telling me both hands on the wheel and opponents trying to figure out his shots. My Deepest Sympathies to Grace, Jennifer and Christy. I remember Fred fondly. My husband and I were in a mixed tennis group with Fred and Grace, and it was so much fun. Fred was a great tennis player with very inventive strokes. There was always much laughter and joy when Fred was around.

His great love and pride in his family was always first and foremost. It was so deep, I’m sure they will feel it forever.

Fred was my great friend and long time tennis partner. We enjoyed many fun competitions in tennis tournaments throughout Virginia. He was a kind natured and fun guy to be with. Fred will be dearly missed by all.
