My love and prayers go out to Scott, Stacey, and Todd as well as your entire family. Your parents were very special people. They were always so kind and welcoming. I was privileged to get to spend so much time around your family growing up in the ole Eastgate neighborhood.
One of my lasting memories of being in the Feder house was watching Super Bowl V in your living room cheering on my beloved Cowboys against the Feder favorite Baltimore colts. I went home broken hearted that day but the rivalry continued on for many years.
Your dad was larger than life and I can still his hearty laugh echoing through your old house on 70th street. I can still picture him on Saturday afternoons leaning over the engine of the Sunbeam or MG tinkering with the engine.
I wish the Feder family nothing but the best and hope each of you live very blessed lives.
Much love and respect,
Gunner
Ps I will never forget the epic moonlight cross country ski adventure with the Feders in Breckenridge circa 1978.
Our deepest condolences to Scott, Stacy, Todd and their families on Fred's death.
Thank you so much for let the Fort Smith folks know of Fred's passing.
As a physician here in Fort Smith beginning in 1973, I came to know Fred very well and we had some very nice times together with he and Elsie.
We even earned a party on his boat a few times.
As to Fred, he was most definitely one of the "good guys" in his practice of Urology along with his partner, Archie Hewett.
Even after leaving the Fort Smith area, it sounds as if he and Elsie had a great life until her passing.
Again thanks for letting us know.

I have many memories of Fred and Elsie, as I grew up with Todd. I can remember both of their laughs, which is a good memory. As it happens, just about 20 years or so ago, I somehow convinced Fred to go sailing on a local lake in a, let’s say, inexpensive, sailboat I bought from the Houston area - where I was also able to drop in on Todd and Cristina to visit - and Fred thankfully volunteered to help me with the first sail of this thing. Thankfully, I didn’t harm either one of us. But I was there when Elsie asked of him when we hit the shore, ‘so Fred, what did you learn?’ While I don’t recall the answer, which could’ve been ‘don’t go sailing with Jerry,’ this is a glimpse of why I liked to hang out with the Feders - they were always curious and ready for adventure. I am glad to have known both of them.
