Fred J. Nocente's Obituary
Fred J. Nocente, 80 passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2011, at his son’s home in Leesburg, Virginia.
Fred was born Wednesday, December 17, 1930 in College Point, New York. He was the son of the late Lawrence Nocente and the late Angela Visco Nocente. He was the husband of Mrs. Gailyn Yvonne Nocente.
Fred served his country in the U S Navy during the Korean War, on the Battleship USS Missouri, BB63.
After his service, Fred had a barber shop in Forestville, MD.
He also served his country on the local level politicially and was Town manager of Capital Heights, MD.
He is survived by his wife, daughter, Laura Arnold of Dover, DE sons, Doug Nocente of Winston Salem, NC, Mark Nocente of Leesburg, VA and Steve Nocente of Dunkirk, MD; his sister, Monica Karnback of Buford, GA; 7 grand-children; 1 great grand-child.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Loudoun Funeral Chapel located at 158 Catoctin Circle, SE Leesburg, Virginia 20175 with the Pastor Ralph Buddenhagen officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
