I was very sad to hear of Sonny's passing. I found out after the fact. It was very sad to think of a man so full of life is now gone. I have many good memories of Sonny at the Brunswick Fire Dept. I'll never forget the donkey baseball incident or the time I tried to drive "Nuts and Bolts" with that crazy transmission. I'm gonna miss you a lot and I'll think of you every time I look at my cowboy hat and boots. My prayers are with the family and may God heal your hearts.
I remember Sonny as a man who didn't give up. Once back in Loveitsville VA Sonny used to come over and ride the stupid horse's and one day got thrown,breaking his arm. But that didn't stop Sonny, he was back the next day and right back up on that horse. Charlie has past too. And I will miss them both greatly.
I was so sorry to hear of Sonny's passing,he was a great guy and always alot of fun, I remember him from Lucketts fire co. him and Pappy too, I know it was a couple fire calls we had and Sonny wasn't at the station when the call was punched out, but before we left here he came around the corner driving that ole green and white Kenworth cabover and he had one of those little fireball lights up at the dash just a flashing, LOL...R.I.P. my friend,prayers to you all at this time.. Gone, but never forgotten. My thoughts and prayers go out to his loved ones during this very difficult time. I had the pleasure of meeting Sonny many years ago, and he was always so kind. I was able to see him a couple of months ago, and have one final conversation with him, and share one last hug. R.I.P. my friend. <3
