Dear Cathy,
Words cannot express my shock, and sadness, upon learning of Greg’s passing. I met Greg, at George Mason University, in 1978-1979. We were graduated (undergraduate) together, in 1980. My one disappointment is that we did not maintain the best of contact during these past 20, or so years. The times we would get together proved to be some of the most enjoyable moments.
Although I have been living in Southern California (Pasadena), since 1981, Greg would be out here, usually on a business trip for S.A.I.C. In most cases, allowing for time constraints, we would meet up, and once again, they were wonderful, memorable moments. Conversely, when I would travel to Virginia to visit my parents (Annandale), once again, we would meet for cocktails, and/or a meal.
Those goals Greg placed on himself, fairness, honesty, respect, to name a few, were a clear example of what any person should be. And, he expected that people be, and conduct themselves, in the same fashion. I am in complete agreement, with his philosophy, and outlook.
I send my deepest sympathy, and heartfelt condolences, to you, Cathy, and your family. May my warmest thoughts, and prayers, be with you, and your family, at this most difficult time.
Rest in peace, Greg.
