Helen D. Coffey, 89, of Leesburg, VA, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Loudoun Nursing and Rehabilitation. Born on October 15, 1924 in Lynchburg, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Leniel Branchford Doss and the Read Obituary
Helen was such a lovely lady and will be greatly missed. A greeting from Helen was always accompanied by a beautiful smile and a hug that made each of us feel as though we were someone special. I always enjoyed an opportunity to work with Helen on the Ladies Board. I hope you have recordings of her lovely voice, I imagine you could hear a smile in it.

Helen was a long time member of The Inova Loudoun Ladies Board who contributed so much to our organization. A lovely friend, she always had a kind word for everyone. Helen was much loved and will be sorely missed.

I was so sorry to read about the passing of Helen. So I wanted to take this time to express my condolence to you for the loss of your loved one. I wanted to share a thought with you that comforted me when I lost a family member in death. The man Job in ( Job 14:14) asks" If an able-bodied man dies can he live again?". Happily Jesus answers in ( John 5:28,29)-Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life” Imagine a resurrection back to life and right here on earth.--( Ps.37:29)-“The righteous themselves will posses the earth. And they will reside forever upon it”. I hope that you will be able to draw some comfort from these scriptural thoughts as I did.
I remember the many bridge games; the red dress and hosiery that she wore to the Lions Club party; the after work dinners with Ed and Helen, Betty Sue and Calvin Sisk, Tom and Nancy Hatcher, Bill and Margaret Stitt and Bill and myself; the patio pot-luck dinners with Bill and his harem. I remember her sincere greeting and the attention she would pay to each individual in a gathering. Lovingly, Janice
