Dear Carol and family,
As many of us do, we lose touch with one another. I regret that very much. I recently checked on Hank to learn he was having health problems. I did not expect this news. My Christian love goes to each of you. Carol, losing Hank has left a void in your life I am sure - - your children and grandchildren will be your blessings to help you through.. For your children - - losing a parent is life changing. Comfort comes in the cherished memories he gave each of you.
Memories of working with Hank and getting to know Denise and Mike as well gave me very happy memories from my career. His memory lives on in many who were blessed to know Hank Mahoney. He was a mentor and role model for many officers. May his integrity, caring and faith continue to influence those following in his footsteps.

Carol and family, my heart goes out to you all during this diffcult time. I will always have warm memories of Hank and his caring ways. There was a time when we were working together that I was upset and Hank saw me. He made me come into his office and talk about my problem until I felt better. I will always remember his kindness and that he would take time for me even though there had to be more important matters to deal with at work. He was a good man and will be missed by us all.
