Herman Ambers' Obituary
Herman Ambers, 93, of Paeonian Springs, VA, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016 .
He was born on January 8, 1923, in Lucketts,VA . He was the first son of the late Charles F. Ambers and Myrtle V. Ambers. Served in the Army during World War II 1943-1947. He was employed by a very prominent family in the county for 50 years. For his remaining years, he did landscaping around the Waterford area. He was an avid runner until the time of his illness and a true baseball fan and loved watching football and the Wheel of Fortune.
He is survived by his wife Regina Ambers; his son Vincent O. Ambers and his wife Carol of Ashburn, VA; his daughters Veronica Showell, Jacquelyn J. Ambers-Martin and her husband Larry of Sterling, VA; his sisters Lena Ambers, Viola Gholston and her husband William, and Grace Anderson; his brothers Raymond Ambers andJoseph Ambers and wife Christine; 6 grandchildren Eric,Ericka, Ashlee, Jarret, Justis, Lexis; his 4 Great Grandchildren Keira, Zhaye, Cheveyo, and Julius; and a host of other cousins nieces and nephews. Two very special God Children Michael Smith and Gwen Trent.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:15 AM on Friday, January 29, 2016 at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, VA 20175.
Funeral services will follow the viewing beginning at 11:15 am, with Rev. Charles Roberts officiating.
Interment services will be held privately by the family at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery, in Lucketts VA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Capital Care Hospice.
