Although I only knew John for about 3 years, I considered him a life long friend. I will always cherish the time we spent talking politics at Blue Ridge Grill and learning about his vast knowledge of history. One of my favorite memories was when John took my flying. That was a great day. One of a kind human.
John volunteered for STEM Flights, a youth program that inspired students to purse STEM and Aviation careers. He donated his time, aircraft expenses, and his unwavering positive attitude. He changed the lives of the students he flew. Our deepest condolences to his family and friends. He truly impacted those he met.
John is the definition of Friend……Someone who you didn’t talk with for months but if called or messaged he was reaching back in minutes, whose smile n smirk lifted your soul, who could be counted on to engage you in the most unbiased conversations (smirk), whose deep and sincere concern was always felt. Our lives were truly enriched because we had John as a friend. Our hearts and memories will continue to hold him close and will forever miss his hugs. We will forever remember the smell of his burps and look on his face when he n James defeated 2 TEEN-AGE girls at Universal Studios during their participation of Fear Factor, he was so proud.

John and I worked together at Northrop Grumman, and he was such a great person to work with. So smart, so sensitive, so amazing. He may not have known, but he taught and mentored me to be a better person myself. He always had a smile on his face, and a positive outlook on everything, no matter how dire the situation. This is very sad. I am so, so sorry for your loss - and everyone's loss.
I am deeply saddened by the news of John's sudden death. As a member of the Loudoun Photo Club, I knew of his passion for photography and was always impressed with how he generously shared his time and talent with the members of the club. My heartfelt prayers are for his family, friends and loved ones who are in mourning at this time.
