Joseph Kight, Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Joseph Weldon Kight, Jr., 41, of Leesburg, VA, died Tuesday, January 13, 2009 in Reston, VA, after a six-month battle with brain cancer.
Joe was born on June 27, 1967 in Panama City, FL, a son of Joseph W. Kight, Sr. and Betty M. Pell Kight of Shawboro, NC. He served his country in the United States Marines Corp. from 1989 to 1993.
Joe was employed for the last twelve years as a Technical Marketing Manager with Alcatel Lucent Technologies in Sterling, VA. He was a member of the VFW and a very active Asst. Referee with NCSL.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of sixteen years, Suzanne R. Kight and three sons, Adam, Jonah and Jacob Kight of Leesburg. He is also survived by his sister, Paula C. Franson of Dumfries, VA, and brother-in-law: Michael L. Franson of Ft. Belvoir, VA; three nieces and two nephews.
Friends may call on Saturday, January 17, 2009 from 12:00 noon until the time of service on Saturday, at 1:00 pm at the Leesburg Community Church 835 Lee Avenue, SW, Leesburg, VA 20175.
Interment will be held privately.
