I've been coming to the salon for a number of years now as a client of Yaffa's. Joey was always kind and made sure to say hi no matter how busy he was. It is a testament to his dedication and the strength of his character that despite being very sick, he still worked hard to keep his clients happy throughout his illness.
May all of you find peace in the knowledge that he was loved and respected by many.

I met Joey many years ago--I think it was somewhere around 1989 or so. Without a doubt, he was the most talented and BEST hair stylist EVER! Much love to the whole family.
I met Joe about 10 years ago at Ida Lee. Joe would consistently do a boot camp class on Wednesday mornings. He would have on his long sweat pants and sweatshirt and I never knew how he didn't pass out!! He was always kind and concerned for others. Vickie, even though we only met once in passing at the grocery store; Joe would speak fondly of you and your boys. I remember him talking of various travel sporting events he needed to go to here and there on the weekends. I know he had a long and frustrating battle with this horrible disease but I will always remember him as the photo you have here. I believe he is made whole once again with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. May you and your family feel and lean on God's power and strength during this extremely difficult time.

Vickie, we wish only you and the boys tremendous comfort at this most difficult time. Joey was an amazing man, a dear friend, loyal confidant and courageous human being. We will miss him tremendously but his presence within our lives will always remain, along with that infectious smile. We are proud to have known him since Rainbow in 1988 when we met, and Michael and I will always value his friendship and love for Max and our family. May he now rest, may he oversea all what the boys and you will accomplish. May God now enjoy his creation, this amazing man. We are proud to have enjoyed Joey and all of his talents and loves in life. You and the boys being his most loved ....and as he would always say, his proudest accomplishment in life was being a father to the boys and partner, husband to you. His love for you all was glowing in that beautiful smile, it was his smile. Thank you for that smile.
