Joseph Noufal's Obituary
Joseph Noufal peacefully passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at his home surrounded by his family in Leesburg, Virginia. Born on June 3, 1968, in Beirut, Lebanon, he is the youngest son of Najib Noufal Gerdak and Jamal Kharrat. Joey immigrated with his family to the Northern Virginia area as a child and learned his strong work ethic through working in the family hair business.
Joey continued working while he earned his Associates Degree in Graphic Design. He was an entrepreneur at heart and successfully ran and operated Noufal Hair Color Studio for 20+ years. He was a passionate and creative inventor, artist, and educator. Joey lived his life fully and greatly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Joey will be remembered for his generous spirit and kind heart.
Joey and his wife, Vicky (Zakkak) Noufal, recently celebrated 23 years of marriage. He was a devoted father and leaves their three sons, Alexander, Brandon and Mason, to carry on his legacy. He is also survived by his loving mother, six brothers: Henry, Elie, Solomon, Tony, Tom, and George; and his two caring sisters, Marie Bayoumi and Randa Abusbitan. He was preceded in death by his father, sister Henriette and brother Michel.
A visitation will be held on Monday, June 5, 2017 from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM at Holy Transfiguration Church located at 8501 Lewinsville Road, McLean, VA 22102. Services will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Holy Transfiguration Church. Interment will be following at 12:00 PM at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church Cemetery located at 101 Oakcrest Manor Drive NE, Leesburg, VA 20176.
